PDouble first learned how to DJ on a set of turntables almost two decades ago in his hometown of Toronto, Canada with the infamous SoundQuest Entertainment Group. In 2001, he made the move back to his country of origin where he last lived as a child and since then, he has prospered as an MC for clubs, parties and major events such as Playground, Godskitchen, SunDaze, Jakarta Movement, Heineken Thirst, Djakarta Warehouse Project and more, alongside some of the greatest international talents that have performed in Indonesia, including Tiësto, AvB, Sasha, Paul van Dyk, Deadmau5, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Ca$h Money, A-Trak amongst many others. He has branched out into different ventures as well, such as hosting a weekly television program (O-Channel), broadcasting on a syndicated radio program (HardRock FM), hosting live sports telecasts as a commentator on FoxSports Asia for the ABL (Asean Basketball League) and also as the first and only streetball MC in the country. Making his home base in Jakarta since the turn of the millennium, his tours have taken him to over 30 cities around Indonesia, bringing his skills to the far reaches of the nation, earning him numerous prestigious awards along the way, such as Rookie of the Year 2005, Paranoia Icon 2006, FreeMag MC of the Year 2007, Paranoia MC of the Year 2009 and his latest achievement as REDMA MC of the Year 2010.
His latest venture, however, brings him back to where it all started, behind 2 turntables and a mixer. Having learned to DJ during the Golden Era of hiphop in the 90s, his musical taste has remained somewhat unchanged, leading him to an urban fusion of musical variety from the old school sounds of hiphop/R&B, disco classics & funk, to various ranges of grooving house music such as bass, deep, minimal, tech, nu-disco, future and techno, all the way to those trap, tweak and big room electronic dance anthems you know and love. With urban music grabbing much of the spotlight again as of late, pDouble has made the exciting transition from MC to DJ, now using his incomparable method of combining both simultaneously during his performances and since the beginning of 2010, he has been very well received by the masses, bringing his unparalleled style to numerous venues in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bali and several other cities around Indonesia. He has already opened for a range of international acts these past few years, including The Hoxton Whores, Bag Raiders, Friendly Fires, DJ Milana (Ukraine), Groove Assassin (UK), A-Trak (USA/ Canada), the world renowned Bob Sinclar, and hopes to do so for many others in the years to come.
His unique character has undoubtedly enticed the likes of several international and local brands such as Nike, H&M, 16 Denim Scale, General Culture and Time International for which he is a proud ambassador, not to mention this one-of-a-kind music connoisseur also moonlights as a sportscaster for a nationally broadcasted television program, NetSport, aired twice weekly on NET.TV, and he has most recently caught the acting bug by joining the cast of a newly-aired NET Original television series, Masalembo.
