Dira Sugandi is now being considered as one of the well-established singers in Indonesia. She is known for her powerful and soulful voice yet she has got a nice airy voice to compliments her style of singing. She sings within the genre of jazz, soul and RnB. Her biggest influences in singing are Billie Holiday, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, Beyonce and Yolanda Adams.

She also has a bachelor degree in music majoring vocal performance.

Throughout her singing career she has shared the stage with some of the top singers and musicians such as Incognito, Jason Mraz, Keith Martin, Yellow Jackets, Diane Warren, D’Sound, George Duke, and Andrea Bocelli. She has also performed at some of the most prestigious venue such as The Plaza New York, Esplanade Singapore, Sydney Opera House and Tokyo Blue Note.

Her debut album ‘Something About the Girl’ was produced by JP ‘Bluey’ Maunick from Incognito and was released in Japan and UK.

Nowadays you would easily find her face on tv, magazines, and newspapers. She is also expanding her career in acting as she has played in two local movies and a musical playbased on the best-selling novel that had won the prize for general fiction from the New York Book Festival, ‘The Rainbow Troops’. She performs regularly at some of the biggest jazz festivals in Indonesia and also events that is held by the President at the Merdeka Palace.
